About Kelley
Born in Seoul, Korea, Kelley’s creative journey has taken many beautiful turns. She earned a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music, first pursuing piano before transitioning to classical violin. That love of music has remained an important part of her life, even as her career took her in a different direction.
For 27 years, Kelley built a career as a financial advisor, developing a deep appreciation for discipline, precision, and the art of understanding people. But alongside her professional life, a lifelong love of visual art was always waiting in the background.
That passion came alive again in 2021, during the pandemic and a move to Washington State. Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the freedom of an empty nest, and the beginning of a new chapter, Kelley began painting with renewed energy. In just one year, she created more than 30 works, eventually exhibiting her art in Tacoma in 2022 and in South Korea in 2023–2024.
Kelley is fluid in watercolor, pastel, and charcoal, but today works primarily in oil and acrylic. Now retired from finance, she is embracing a life centered around visual art, music, and acting—creative pursuits that allow her to express her faith, her curiosity, and her connection to the world around her.
For Kelley, art is more than something to hang on a wall. It is a way of living, connecting, and telling a story.
Her vision for this next chapter is to open her own studio to the public—a welcoming, collaborative space where local artists can create, exhibit their work, exchange ideas, and encourage one another. More than a studio, she hopes it will become a place where creativity and community come together.
